How Donations Work

The ability to accept online random amount donations is a snap in our PTOffice Store module! Here’s how you do it:

1. ADD a new item to your store.
2. We recommend creating a main category called ‘DONATIONS’ in your store and adding this new item to that category.
3. Give your item a NAME such as “1-Time Donation”
4. Be sure to leave the AMOUNT FIELD completely blank – this is what allows this item to become a ‘Donation’ style payment.
5. Give the ITEM a description. We recommend letting your contributors know where how donations are going to help.
6. SAVE your item.

You’re done! Now your contributors can type n their own desired amount for a donation amount and can be charged accordingly.
