Understanding & Managing Multi-Household (and Divorced) Families

PTOffice is one of the very few member management systems that truly organizes its contacts via a family unit. To best manage your families, it is important to first understand how PTOffice organizes them.

Every person is part of a Family ID (including teachers and faculty and staff). Each Family ID can hold students and up to two households of information. Each household can hold up to two parents. Below is a diagram explaining the structure of a Family ID.

Good to know:
Contacts of one household will not be allowed to see or edit the other household’s contact information from within their own profile editor.

The numbering of the Households holds no significance to the importance of the Household to a child.
